This is so good. Would it be possible to republish on my newsletter? I write mostly for parents of kids who've claimed a trans-ID. I'd put this on my SM's Essential Concepts substack and link back to FAIR and anywhere else you'd like.

This is brilliant. Great advice. One of the many reasons I love this group. Thank you.

Fantastic read! While I do my best to raise my two boys following these guidelines it’s easy to fall into Triton mode so this article serves as an excellent set of reminders!

I’d like to add that I’ve personally found #9 to be a crucial foundation. The most important class I’ve ever taken was “Logic”. Was not required😕. I only stumbled into it accidentally because I liked the prof’s philosophy class. No class I had ever taken before or since even touched on those topics. Mathematics and the hard Sciences do teach systematic thinking but that does not directly carry over to human relations and communications.

Anyway, thanks again! I’ll be sharing this with many other parents.

Thanks, Jeff! I’m engaging with my 7 and 9 year olds in just these ways as they encounter the prevailing concepts of Antiracism in school and otherwise. We desperately need to find affirmative, positive modes as we navigate this orthodoxy. It isn’t going away, so a strong, healthy, open culture at home is critically important. Great tips here, and thanks for the book, which I just bought. Having literary alternatives is also key. Will you kindly write an answer to RACE CARS, please? ;) - Jim

Terrific essay, filled with value! Despite the boilerplate disclaimer, "In keeping with our mission …", I think everyone here will be grateful for this!
